Immaculate Conception - Wexford, is located in rural northeast Iowa in the rolling hills of Allamakee County. The parish was established in 1851 by Irish priest Rev. Thomas Hore. Father Hore brought seventeen families to the valley which reminded them of their homeland in County Wexford, Ireland. Over the more than 160 years, the Irish heritage has remained strong with Christian values, ideals and care of the surrounding land.
